Hi Guys! I'm having my sem break now which is almost one and a half month! Backed to my lovely home town few days ago right after the next day I finished my final year exam, which is also the end of my degree year one. Soon another tow years later I'll be graduating! Everything is like accelerating lol. But tbh I've no idea what I want to become yet in the future. Blah. 

So my aunty brought me for breakfast the other day which is quite sometime already. Haha. She brought me to this little café called Double Bistro which is located at Jalan Gottlieb, the same row as 

Hope Children.

They have this amazing interior design and the lightning is dimmer which makes the environment feel so relax. I kinda like the feeling where you having your breakfast in a place that makes you feel stress-free. 

The food is quite affordable too I would say, my breakfast costed me less than RM10 if I'm not mistaken. What more can you ask for to dine in a place like this with air conditioner yet the price for the food is so affordable?? I'll definitely go again. In fact, I think I'll go tomorrow! Haha.

Society Nowadays

There's this video keep appearing on my news feed lately. It's a 'prank' video by ModelPranksters to see that how does one's appearance influence the way people treat them. If you haven't watch it yet, please watch it first.

What do you think? How do you feel? Do you feel sad? Angry? Disappointed? Or nothing at all?

It's a social norm to help someone get up if you see them fall down.

But,

why does appearance make such a big difference?

A well-dressed guy gets a few people to help him whereas a homeless guy gets none??

What makes it even ironic is at the end of this video,

the homeless guy on the street is the only one helping the fall down homeless guy to get up.

I do sympathize for the homeless.

Why do we refuse to help them?

Why do we hesitate to help them when they fall down?

Is it because they are not at the same 'standard' as we are?

The well-dressed,

why we help them immediately?

Is it because they are at the same level with us?

One's kindness does not influence by other's appearance.

You give your helping hand with no hesitation.

That's the real kindness.

Did you realize how much the society has changed us?

You think you're making big changes,

but in fact it's the society changing you.

DON'T LET THE SOCIETY CHANGE WHO YOU TRULY ARE.

Valentine's Day 2015

I'm back after more than a month! Feeling really guilty about not updating my blog but I have no time because of CNY and assignment. Hmm... Maybe that's just an excuse. But the first thing I do when I finally have free time is to update my blog! *grin* I'm forgiveable I guess. Hahaha. 

This was a post that suppose to be published last month wtf and I've been procrastinating until now to blog about it. Nvm... it's better late than never! :p

If you're wondering, this is actually my virgin celebration of Valentine's Day! Hahaha. I was so excited about it and I do all the research about restaurant and stuff. I want it to be perfect, at least something valuable to be memorized in our memory. So I found this hotel called Furama Bukit Bintang which they were offering RM350 nett for Valentine's package! And I think it's quite worth cause I saw other restaurants like more than 500 bucks per couple or even per person?!! Of course Hao is the one paying hahaha.

OOTN! It was actually one of my CNY shirts but I got nothing to wear on V Day so this will do! Hehe.

 Every table even got a bag of Kate goodies! Yayy I love goodies bag especially it's cosmetics! 

Here comes the food which is a 5 course dinner. 

 Bouquet garden of salad with poached prawn & honey sesame vanaigrette.

 Light pea soup with scallop & shredded crispy shiitake.

 A complimentary rose. So nice.

 This fellow is busying playing with his phone while I'm busying to take tons of photos. Loll loll. Bad bad bad example of being a couple. Hahaha.

 Chilled lime sherbet. I've no idea how to eat this? Should I eat it with the spoon or just drink it? LOL

 HER MAIN COURSE. Herbs grilled fillet of fish with citrus beurre blanc, spinach puree & fish roe.

 HIS MAIN COURSE. Lemon pepper lamb, whipped mashed potato & crumble feta.

 Lastly is the dessert! White chocolate baked cheese cake with raspberry macaron & raspberry compote.

All the decoration, environment, atmosphere is good. However the food was rather disappointing. Too bad for our taste bud.

I was really happy and truly enjoyed my first V Day! Hope that I can celebrate more special day with him! Heh. Oh ya, he got me a Victoria Secret perfume which was in my wishlist for quite sometime. He gave me in advanced and I posted on my Instagram. Follow me @jolynnchoong :D I got him a Birkenstock cause his old one was like so cacat already. Hahaha. 

Lunch Date | DCOVA

Before I back to Penang, I already made a list of whom I want to meet up. I spent about 3 weeks sem break here and it is just not enough for me! It passed so fast I don't even realize that tomorrow is the day I go back to KL! But I'm looking forward to coming back to Penang again after a week to celebrate CNY. Hee.

The first one I hang out with of course is Iryn which is also my besties during my diploma life. Haven't seen her for almost a year. Just a normal hang out ppl usually do. Lunch...movie...chit chatting. It was so great to finally see her again! *hugs*

Went for a movie, S For Secrets, not as impressed as the trailers shown. Then we decided to pick a cafe in Georgetown area which we haven't been yet to have our late lunch. I always do cafe hopping when I was still in Penang but since I studied in KL I don't really familiar with all the new cafes that just popped out within the months after I left. We've heard DCOVA before so we decided to give it a try!

Their effort on these decorations. Nice.

Ordered Aglio Olio and Carbonara. Aglio Olio was rather disappointing, I can only taste the spiciness and it's oily. Carbonara was not bad, perfect for those who don't fancy the creamy type.

I think I spend my holidays to the fullness. Haha. That explained why I haven't been updating my blog that frequent even I'm having sem break. Heh.

1600 Pandas | Publika

I thought I'd not have the chance to 'meet' the 1600 Pandas. But last week when I hung out with my friends and we thought we could go to have a look on the pandas! It took us nearly an hour to find a damn car park. .________.

Since we were already half-dead after finding a car park, it's time to have a cup of good coffee. No doubt Publika has so many cafes around and we decided to go to the famous Coffee Stain by Joseph. Heard about it for so long but never had the chance to try out. 

It's not very spacious but it was separated by a barrier so we still have our own privacy. My Mocha was good and the Panda art is so cute! However, the coffee ice cube with milk is rather disappointing. I'd prefer the one from Garage 51. 

After the high tea session, we also decided to have our early dinner in Publika. We'd no idea where to go so we ended up we went to the food court. We had the BM Yam Rice which was really delicious!! If only it does not contain so much MSG. But it taste as tasty as the yam rice from BM (Bukit Mertajam) which is famous of their yam rice. My sis used to drive us there just to have their yam rice!

I've been so enjoyed my life in Penang. It is so relaxing and I really feels good and happy to be backed again to my home. Never got any homesick before but this time was different. I wonder why. I missed my family and friends and been eager to meet all of them. Time pass so fast in a blink of eye, we should appreciate everyone around us while we still got the CHANCE. These things can't be waited, show your care to the people you loved so you won't REGRET by any chance. (:
